Tomorrow starts the first tournament of 2009 for the US PGA Tour. The event is in Hawaii, where 33 players will be at the select-field event, the Mercedes-Benz Championship.

Below are my 5 picks for the Mercedes-Benz Championship:

I am not sure if the Tour Insider (Dave Shedloski) will post his picks for this tournament or not. We will have to wait and see. However, at the time of this posting, he had not posted them on pgatour.com.
glad to see ur back
ReplyDeleteThx, it is nice to be back. I didn't mean to go AWOL towards the later part of last season. I ended up getting swamped with things, mainly from my reading and writing in the doctorate program. Very time consuming, more so than I imagined.
ReplyDeleteIf you are up for it, make sure to post your picks.
I like Holmes, Immelman, Love III, Singh, Turnesa.
ReplyDeleteThanks bud!
I agree with anonymous. Your picks and the CLi were most helpful last year.
ReplyDeleteI also dug around for Shedloski's picks, but it seems that Helen Ross is now doing the Tour Insider, with no picks.

It also looks like pgatour.com and yahoo have developed a partnership and are using the Fantasy insider to make picks based on the yahoo format.

Hmmmm.....ok, so Ross takes over the Tour Insider with no picks and Shedloski has not posted an article to the pgatour.com site since mid-December. Let's wait a week to see what Shedloski (and Ross) do next week for the Sony Open. Then based upon what they do, I will look for another "Tour Insider" to compete against.
ReplyDeleteYep, saw that Yahoo! Sports and pgatour.com are now hooked up. I think that is because of the relationship with Turner Sports. Turner Sports runs pgatour.com and now has a strong alliance with Yahoo! Sports. I guess Turner didn't want to continue with other fantasy golf provider from previous years.
So, JB Holmes sucked. Dissapointing.
ReplyDeleteYes, JB didn't perform that well at Kapalua, which was surprising. He is scheduled to play this week in the Sony. Let's see if he bounces back in a strong fashion at the Sony.
