This week the US PGA Tour is in Louisiana to play the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Below is the list of the top 15 players in the CLi rankings for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Wow, what is happening with the CLi. For the past 3 weeks, there has not been a player with a CLi figure less than 10. And in the case this week, only one player has a CLi figure less than 20.

I will go with the top 3: Choi, Poulter, and Maggert. Maggert missed the cut last week in Hilton Head. However, I see him bouncing back and playing well in Louisiana. He plays well in this tournament, and it is close to his home in Texas.

After that I am going to skip over Armour (the 50 year old might party too much in New Orleans on Bourbon street). Then I will go with Bubba Watson. I would normally pick Appleby as I think he would be a good pick for this tournament. However, I think Howell is an even better pick as he has been quietly playing well this year and could possibly break through with a win this week. If not a win, at least a top 10. That means that I have a player with a CLi figure of over 30 in my picks. Let's see if that works or not this week.
