The true tournament on the US PGA Tour plays second fiddle to the British Open. The British Open is a European Tour event. The US PGA Tour shouldn't try to make it otherwise. This week's US PGA Tour event is the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.
Below is the list of the top 15 players in the CLi rankings for the US Bank Championship in Milwaukee.
# | Player | CLi |
1 | Scott Hoch | 8.00 |
2 | Brett Quigley | 10.15 |
3 | Jerry Kelly | 11.25 |
4 | Jeff Sluman | 17.35 |
5 | Kevin Streelman | 18.25 |
6 | Chris Riley | 19.90 |
7 | Nick O'Hern | 21.50 |
8 | George McNeill | 23.95 |
9 | Bo Van Pelt | 24.65 |
10 | Steve Elkington | 26.30 |
11 | Cameron Beckman | 28.00 |
12 | Jason Dufner | 28.10 |
13 | Dean Wilson | 30.05 |
14 | Fred Funk | 32.20 |
15 | Nathan Green | 32.25 |
The first player in the list is Hoch. He has been playing well. However, his good finishes have been on the Champions Tour. So I am going to discount that and pass on him this week in this US PGA Tour event. I don't think he can keep up with the younger players in the field.
Then I am going pick the next 3 players: Quigley, Kelly, and Sluman. I will skip Streelman and pick Riley and O'Hern.
